EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a trauma-informed therapy that helps the brain process experiences that feel stuck or overwhelming. Trauma doesn’t just live in our thoughts it lives in the body and nervous system, and EMDR works with both.
Using bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping), EMDR helps the brain safely reprocess distressing memories so they no longer feel as intense, triggering, or present day. You don’t have to relive every detail or talk endlessly about what happened for healing to occur.
At the heart of my EMDR work is safety, choice, and collaboration. We move at your pace, with a strong focus on stabilization, regulation, and trust. EMDR can be helpful for single-incident trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, grief, attachment wounds, and negative core beliefs that developed from past experiences.
Healing isn’t about erasing the past — it’s about helping your nervous system learn that the danger is over. EMDR supports you in reconnecting with yourself, building resilience, and moving forward with more ease, clarity, and self-compassion.
